Doi Suthep Hilly Offroad Loop

This 100% offroad loop begins at Huay Tueng Tao lake and leads through hilly terrain on the northeastern side of the Doi Suthep Doi Pui national park. Behind the lake, it climbs the dirt road leading to the hilltribe village Khun Chang Khian to an altitude of 700m. This section is challenging, because the road is quite steep. Before reaching the village, it turns right following another double track hardpack road north to Mae Rim. This section is mostly downhill with some short climbs and a lovely stream crossing. The route returns to the lake via a jungle single track trail at the foot of the hill. Overall technical difficulty is medium.
