Über diese Route

From Kathmandu with 80 lbs.load forcing me to walk the steepest parts, it took about 14 hours. A lIghtly loaded person in good condition could do it in a day. Start early. Coming down the very steep hill from the first pass next to the river there is a place the local boy called Sisneri but my map shows as Simletar, where there is a large restaurant and hotel, with a another family running a nice little homestay on the hill behind it, where I stayed. Electricity but no internet, and a squat toilet. At the top of the second pass in the cool clouds are teashops with good food. From there again a very steep descent then long incline into Hetaunda.
