Über diese Route

A hard level mountain bike tour that combines Greek history with modern culture. The area around the Navarino Outdoors is full with ancient ruins, tombs and palaces from the Mycenaean era. The palace of king Nestor is our point of interest just like his whole kingdom we ride through. The route will takes us in the olive groves and the forested areas where we can see the ancient Iklena, the palace of King Nestor and some of the most ancient tombs in Greece which all these are more than 3500 years old. On the other hand we will meet the modern culture on our way between the villages where we will make different brakes for Greek drinks and snacks. On the way back to the Bike station the view of Navarino bay and Gialova lagoon will remind us the rich variety of Messenia.
