Schioppettino Trail

L’itinerario parte dal parcheggio antistante al Comune di Prepotto. Ci si dirige in direzione Albana e dopo un km si svolta a sinistra verso Cividale. Si svolta ancora a sinistra verso il cimitero e si prosegue in salita sulla stradina no a tornare sulla strada principale. Si seguono le indicazioni per Castelmonte ed entrati a San Pietro di Chiazzacco si prende la strada bianca in salita alla ne del paesino. Ritornati sulla strada asfaltata si prosegue in salita verso il Santuario di Castelmonte dove una visita è consigliata. Circa 200 mt sotto il piazzale si notano delle indicazioni sulla sinistra per la Chiesa dei Tre Re da dove si prende il dif cile sentiero in discesa che diventerà una mulattiera. Giunti al bivio si svolta a destra in salita verso Stregna e San Pietro di Chiazzacco per poi ritornare

sulla strada percorsa in salita. A circa 1 km dopo il bivio tra Cla- drecis e Castelmonte, si imbocca la stradina bianca sulla sinistra dalla quale parte a destra il sentiero che ci condurrà al bellis- simo Borgo di Centa e poi a Prepotto.

This itinerary starts from the parking area in front of Pre- potto’s town hall. Going in the direction of Albana, after one km turn left in the direction of Cividale. Turn again on the left in the direction of the cemetery and continue uphill on the same street until you return to the main road. Follow the directions to Castelmonte and when arrived at the town of San Pietro di Chiazzacco take the white road uphill situated at the end of the town. When returned to the paved road continue uphill following the directions to Santuario di Castelmonte, a beautiful place we recom- mend to visit. From this point at about 200 mt from the parking area on the left inside you can nd directions to Chiesa dei Tre Re. From this point it starts a dif cult path going downhill that will change into a muletrack. When arrived to a crossroad turn right going uphill in the direc- tion of Stregna and San Pietro di Chiazzacco and return on the same road previously taken. After about 1 km from the crossroad between Cladrecis and Castelmonte take the white road on the left. From here starts a path on the right that brings to the beautiful village of Borgo di Centa and after to Prepotto.
