Rolfe Road is not a continuous public road. From Barton Highway the Council maintains around 1.5 km and then the track is on private land owned by a private land owner. However, there is a missing section - the 90 degree angle - which can be traversed to again join the public Rolfe Road. Then Council maintains the Rolfe Road starting from Kaveneys Road for around 1.5 km where it ends (comes down) at the 90 degree angle (the missing portion of Rolfe Road). This missing portion is on public property (the road reserve), which is a Crown road. Note that Kaveneys Road is a full length public road up to Dog Trap Road starting from the Barton Highway.
