By bicycle from Hong Kong to Wan Chai

Here’s a short but lively cycling route right through the heart of Hong Kong! Setting off near Central, you’ll pedal east towards the vibrant district of Wan Chai. The ride is just under 3 km, so it's a quick spin, but Hong Kong’s famous hills mean you’ll get a little workout—expect some climbs (almost 170 meters of ascent).

You’ll mostly stick to paved and asphalt roads, zipping past towering skyscrapers, bustling markets, and the iconic tram tracks. About half the route takes you along busy roads, so keep an eye out for traffic and double-check the bike lanes. There's a nice stretch through quieter roads and even a bit of pedestrian area as you approach Wan Chai.

Wan Chai is a lively neighborhood known for its mix of historic temples, fancy skyscrapers, and a buzzing nightlife scene. Once you arrive, don’t miss the iconic Blue House or grab a snack at one of the many dai pai dongs. It’s classic urban biking—quick, energetic, and full of city sights!
