You’ll pedal southward through jaw-dropping mountain scenery, tackling nearly 3,150 meters of ascent before a huge, rewarding descent into Bormio, Italy.
The route covers almost 83 km, and you’re in for mixed terrain: expect everything from gravel and forest tracks to some smooth stretches of asphalt. About 36% is unpaved, so a gravel or mountain bike is highly recommended. One of the big highlights is crossing the legendary Stelvio Pass, topping out at a dizzying 2,900 meters—one of Europe’s highest paved mountain passes!
