By bicycle from Bisamberg to Vienna

Start your ride in Bisamberg, a charming wine-growing village just north of Vienna, known for its scenic hillside views and cozy Heuriger (wine taverns). The route to Vienna is about 17.6 km and mostly paved, with the lion’s share on smooth asphalt—so you’ll get a pretty comfy ride.

Almost two-thirds of this journey rolls along dedicated cycleways, weaving through quiet roads and leafy paths, making it great for a stress-free pedal. You’ll have a gentle ascent (about 95 meters) at the start as you leave Bisamberg, with only a mild descent into Vienna—nothing too steep for most cyclists.

Heading south, you’ll gradually swap vineyards and open fields for city vibes as you reach Vienna’s vibrant center. Vienna is renowned for its history, grand architecture, and a cycling network that covers almost the entire city, so it’s easy to keep exploring by bike once you’re there.
