By bicycle from Sande to Jever

This relaxed cycling route takes you from the cozy town of Sande to the historic city of Jever. You’ll be sticking mostly to smooth, paved paths and asphalt, giving you an easy roll through the scenic marsh landscape of Friesland.

As you start in Sande, don’t miss a glance at the local canals—this area is known for its waterworks. The route winds northward, mostly along separated bike paths, making it pretty stress-free, even for less experienced cyclists. You’ll cross some stretches with classic North German paving stones, adding a bit of charm to your journey.

Once in Jever, reward yourself with a stroll around the beautiful Schlosspark or sample the town’s famous Jever Pilsener at one of the local pubs. Jever’s historic old town is packed with lovely corners to explore—so park your bike and soak it in!
