By bicycle from Hochfeld to Mülheim

This relaxed ride rolls out from Hochfeld, a multicultural Duisburg neighborhood with an industrial past and plenty of vibrant street life. Heading east, you’ll pedal about 11.5 km on mostly paved surfaces — expect a mix of smooth asphalt, some paving stones, and quiet stretches along cycle paths and side roads. The ride includes some gentle climbs and descents but nothing too demanding, topping out around 86 meters elevation.

The route weaves through green areas and suburban edges, giving you a taste of the Ruhr’s changing landscapes. You’ll skirt the edge of the Rheinpark and cruise past leafy neighborhoods before arriving in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
