By bicycle from Frankfurt am Main to Niederrad

Get ready for a scenic pedal that takes you from the heart of Frankfurt am Main down to the leafy district of Niederrad. Starting in downtown Frankfurt, you’ll roll out along mostly quiet roads and city paths—so you can enjoy the ride without too much traffic. The route runs just over 8 km, winding south-west with barely any hills to worry about (there’s only about 33 meters of climbing and a little more descending).

You’ll pass through some of Frankfurt’s urban highlights before cruising closer to the river and into Niederrad, which is known for its parks, residential charm, and its role as a key location for medical and academic institutions. With a surface that’s almost all nicely paved—partly asphalt and some classic paving stones—this is an easy, relaxed trip, ideal for an after-work ride or a sunny weekend jaunt.
