By bicycle from Jaffa to Tel Aviv

This relaxed ride takes you from the heart of old Jaffa to vibrant Tel Aviv, covering a little under 6 km along mostly paved routes. You’ll start in the atmospheric alleyways of Jaffa—an ancient port city packed with history, art galleries, and cafes. From there, glide north along the beautiful, mostly flat Tel Aviv coastline. The route is super cyclist-friendly, with plenty of dedicated cycleways and gentle elevation changes, so you’ll get to enjoy sea breezes rather than tough climbs.

You’ll travel along a mix of asphalt and concrete (with the occasional paving stone section), and there’s a nice balance between quiet roads and peaceful paths—perfect for soaking in the Mediterranean views. Most of the route is on well-maintained cycleways and you’ll pass through spots where locals jog, dogs run, and surfers catch waves.

A little over half an hour later, you’ll roll right into downtown Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv is famous for its Bauhaus architecture, buzzing nightlife, and lively street scene—so park your bike, grab a coffee, and jump right in!
