By bicycle from Soprabolzano to Bolzano

Starting your ride in Soprabolzano, perched high above the Bolzano valley at over 1,200 meters, get ready for a scenic descent into the heart of South Tyrol! Soprabolzano, known for its breathtaking mountain views and as the upper station of the famous Renon cable car, is a charming village that feels a world away from the city bustle below.

The route down to Bolzano is about 12 km, mostly on paved and asphalt roads, with quiet stretches, the occasional cycleway, and a little bit of everything else to keep things interesting. You’ll lose over 1,100 meters in elevation, so the ride is much more about enjoying the views than grinding up hills!
