This route is very rural. It's one of my favourite rides. The conveniently-placed hydro line service roads take you down several kilometers of unpaved terrain. At the end of this ride, there is a big ravine that you'll want to stay clear of, though it's fairly obvious where it is.
This is definitely not a ride for a road bike, and you'll want to carry a bear rattle (a pop can with gravel attached to your jacket generally works). I've only ever seen black bears, but you'll want to make your presence known to any local wildlife, so you don't sneak up on a mother and her baby.
Route starts here, at the corner of Laburnum. This trail runs along the hydro lines.
