Polhograjski dolomiti so predalpsko hribovje, ki se dviga nekaj čez 1000 m v nebo, na čelu s Toščem (1021 mnv), ki je najvišji vrh hribovja.

Pot nas popelje praktično okoli celotnega Polhograjskega hribovja, z grizenjem kolen v klance in spuščanjem ter vijuganjem po prepadnih serpentinah hribovskih cest pa se tudi približamo najvišjim vrhovom omenjenega hribovja, saj točka Črni vrh leži pod Toščem in Pasjo ravnjo, na nadmorski višini med 800 in 900 m.
