About This Route

Die Tour beginnt am Bahnhof Schüttorf und führt über Bad Bentheim ins Gildehauser Venn. Über "Schmugglerwege" geht es weiter durchs benachbarte Twente nach Nordhorn. Am Zoo vorbei führt der Weg über Brandlecht zurück nach Schüttorf. Abgesehen von wenigen Straßenüberquerungen sind kaum Steigungen vorhanden. Die Strecke führt ausschließlich über Nebenstrecken  und ist mit ATB/MTB und anderen Alltagsrädern gut zu befahren (nicht für Rennräder geeignet). Landschaftlich ist die Strecke meiner Meinung nach in weiten Teilen sehr reizvoll. Zum großen Teil führt die Strecke über die "Grafschafter Fietsentour".
