About This Route

Start und Ziel ist die ehemalige Grube Velsen. Von da aus geht es im Uhrzeigersinn nach Petit-Rossele, und auf sehr guten Radwegen weiter Richtung Freyming-Merlebach.Dort geht es durch die schöne Landschaft der ehemaligen Sandgrube "Carrière de Freyming-Merlebach". In Lauterbach besuchten wir noch den "Warndtdom". Dann ging es in Lauterbach rechts ab Richtung Karlsbrunn. Vor Karlsbrunn kommt man an einer Aussichtsplattform vorbei, von der man einen herrlichen Ausblick auf das Sandgrubengelände hat. Anschließend verlief die Tour durch das Wildfreigehege Karlsbrunn. Dann noch ein kurzes Stück bis zum Lokal Blockhaus am Sankt Nikolaus Weiher, in dem man sehr gut essen kann. Von da aus ging es dann wieder zurück über Großrosseln zum Startpunkt bei der Grube Velsen.
