About This Route

A scenic loop ride from Apollo bay mostly on quite rural roads, about 45% unsealed. Includes Turtons track, Aire Valley road, Binns road and Old Bay Road. Old Bay Road is marked as closed to motorised traffic, however  is accessible to vehicles. It has an electrical powerline buried underneath that requires regular maintenance. Includes an optional side trip to Beech Forest where there are toilets and a cafe. At the time of writing the Beechy Hotel is closed, possibly permanently. Don't miss the Redwood forest picnic area on the Aire River.
