About This Route

Von Klopein aus führt die Tour entlang dem Radweg über Eberndorf, Sittersdorf, Miklauzhof nach Bad Eisenkappel. Am Ortsbeginn von Bad Eisenkappel nach rechts, Richtung Schaidasattel, abbiegen. Bevor man den Anstieg auf den Schaidasattel angeht sollte man unbedingt noch in die Trögerner Klamm fahren und sich die vom Wasser geformte Schluchtenlandschaft ansehen. Wär schade, wenn man sich dafür nicht Zeit nimmt. Der Anstieg auf den Schaida ist ca. 5km lang und recht steil. Durchschnittliche Steigung 12 %. Am Schaidasattel hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf das Koschuttamassiv und ins Rosental. Auf der Abfahrt bis zum Freibacher Stausee ist der Asphalt in einem schlechten Zustand, teilweise muß man über Schotterbelag. Wenn man mit dem Rennrad unterwegs ist und langsam fährt - dann geht das schon. Von Abtei hinunter nach Gallizien hat man wieder einen super Belag und mit dem Rennrad kann man locker 80 km/h erreichen.
