About This Route

Gordes is a gorgeous provencal town perched on the hills in the Louberon. You can descend from the ramparts into the rich farmland and olive groves below and traverse the valley to Oppede le vieux, an old abandoned town now turned art colony. From there cruise over to Menerbes to see an old fortefied town, and back towards Beaumettes to see houses built right into the cliffs. Catch a bike trail from there to Lumieres and head back uphill towards Gordes. It's a low stress, not too hilly ride in all, and will take you past some of the most beautiful little towns you've seen.
