Wer den Anstieg von Furtwangen bis zum Brend hinauf geschafft hat, hat hier bereits die meisten Höhenmeter hinter sich gelassen. Lediglich kurz vor der Katharinenhöhe sind noch einmal ein paar Höhenmeter zu bezwingen. Ab der Katharinenhöhe geht es vorbei an der Escheck und dem Stöcklewaldturm bis zum Breghäusle. Von hier geht es hinab zum Gfelldeibishof und schließlich die letzten Kilometer auf dem Bahndamm zurück nach Furtwangen.
