About This Route

Vom Ortszentrum in Großarl geht es in Richtung Hüttschlag. Hier kommen Sie an der Laireitingkapelle vorbei, die ein Teil vom Kapellenwanderweg ist. Nach dem Hotel Viehhauser biegen Sie ins Mandldörfl. Zum Großteil geht es jetzt durch den Fichtenwald zu den Aigenalmen. Hier haben Sie die Wahl zwischen der Aigenalm-Paulhütte und der Aigenalm-Mandlhütte (natürlich sind beiden Hütten einen Besuch wert). Auf beiden Almen werden Sie mit Köstlichkeiten aus der eigenen Produktion verwöhnt. Auf der Paulhütte gibt es neben der Jause auch noch einen sehr leckeren Kaiserschmarrn. Gestärkt und erholt geht es am gleichen Weg wieder retour ins Tal.
