About This Route

Starting at the Lagoon, a 1,700ft climb of the hill immediately behind St George's. Initially following the road to St Pauls before turning off onto the steeper road to Mardis Gras. Once you get to the village center, by the church turn left and then keep right to follow a concrete track past housing. After another 50 yards this becomes a rough track and you follow this track all the way up to the summit. Gradients 25+%. At the top you are rewarded fantastic views - if it's not cloudy and raining. Steep descent, hairy when wet. There are plenty of other route options to reaching Mardi Gras village and the final climb - in fact many preferable to the busy roads out of St George's.
