Cycling tour 2007 Mai Milano - Briancon - Nice

Together with Oddvar Leirdal

20. Stayed at Hotel Ascot in Malpensa. Gallarate - Turin. A little buggy to start with. 173 km.

Lunch at Vercelli, and a short stop at the Trino market - with falcons. Many cyclists on the road. The Arves won a stage in the Giro. Great recreation area by the river Fiume Sesia. which separates Lombardy and Piedmont.

21. Stayed at Hotel Chelsea. Torino - Perosa Argentina. Spent a long time finding out of town. Lunch at Pinerolo. Started on rises after lunch. 65 km.

22. Stayed at the hotel Anna - top. Perosa Argentina - Sestriere. Great nature! Lunch in Pragelato. 44 km

23. Stayed at Residence Alouette. Sestriere - Briancon. Started down. Short stop in Claviere before crossing the border to France. Also stopped in town just after border crossing. Have lunch at the finish line to the next day's leg in the Giro in Briancon. Thunderstorms and thunderstorms in the evening. Dinner together with the eagle cyclists. So Milan beat Liverpool at CL. 38 km

24. Stayed at Auberge de I'mpossible - booked in advance due to the Giro. Many cyclists lived there. Briancon - Guillestre 57 km. Bike up to Col d'Izoard (2360) along with hundreds of dogs and then Giro d'Italia. The inheritance was included. Fantastic day!

25. Guillestre - Jausiers. Quiet out of town in the morning. Some cyclists up to Col de Vars. Clear up. Great at the top and a fantastic downhill ride! Oddvar hit the moth in the middle of the road. Everything was closed until we arrived at Jausiers. Stayed at the B & B at the end of the street. Totally top - shared lovely dinner in the evening. Very quiet and cool city. Slight rain in the evening - "no" car traffic for the whole day! 47 km.

26. Jausiers - Saint-Etienne-de-Tinee 53 km. Started in shorts, but had to get dressed on us any more. Thick fog, hail, rain and wind over Col de Bonette 2802 moh - highest-lying freeway in Europe.

Terribly rude !! Threw us in at the first hotel we came across. Could feel the temperature rise for every meter down from the mountain. The road worked like a river! Exciting little tired city. Cozy family run hotel.

27. Saint- Etienne-de-Tinee - Saint Martin-Vesubie. Started with the trail downhill 30 km / h the first hour before we started up - great ride! And great downhill to St. Martin. Rain half past night and all night. 63 km

28. Saint Martin-Vesubie - Nice 65 km. Lunch in Levens. Top bike day and road! Found the hotel in Nice quite fine.
