The second stage kicks off from Church Lane, on the cobbles of St. George’s. After making a trip around the town through Government Hill Road and Cut Road the route takes us south along the Northshore of the main island and then east to Devil’s Hole along Harrington Sound Road to Shark Hole where the hilliest section of the stage begins. Especially St. Mark’s Road offers ample opportunity for those with strong legs to get into the break of the day.
Rounding the top of the climb the race turns to Paget Marsh where the riders will do six local laps around Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse along Horseshoe Bay on the southern stretch of the lap and Jews Bay in the northern section. With 13 kilometers to go the stage turns towards the northwestern tip of Bermuda, through Hog Bay, Somerset and onto Royal Navy Dockyard on Ireland Island, where the sprinters will have to give it their all on the pier.
