About This Route

Die Strecke führt auf dem R1 durch das Fuldatal (Mecklar, Meckbach, Blankenheim, Bebra, Rotenburg/F. bis nach Baumbach), geht dann an Sterkelshausen vorbei hinauf zum Wanderparkplatz in der Nähe von Schloss Ludwigseck, vorbei am Geisteich und Malchusteich bei Beenhausen ins Rohrbachtal und dann zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Empfohlen ist wegen der Strecke zwischen Baumbach und Beenhausen (u.a. ein recht anspruchsvoller, längerer Anstieg) ein MTB, man kann sich aber auch durchaus mit einem Citybike/Tourenrad probieren.
