A Kerka folyócska a Mura legjelentősebb magyarországi mellékvize, alsó szakasza mentén Szécsiszigeten, Tormaföldén és Kerkaszentkirályon létesült kikötő, a Murán pedig Muraszemenyén, Murarátkán, Letenyén, Tótszerdahelyen, Molnáriban és Murakeresztúron. Kistolmács és csömödér között kisvasúttal rövidíthető.
