This is a Trails BC suggested route from Elk Pass to Banff. For the most part this is Adventure Cycling Association Great Divide Canada Route. The route on the West Side of Spray Lakes is conditionally open however due to bear issues this is sometimes closed, in which case the traveler would have to utilize the Smith Dorrien Road for an alternative. More info on closures available at the Visitor Centers in Banff Town and within Peter Lougheed Park
Goat Creek Trail Kiosk- Heading towards BC take the single track down to the creek. The more conservative route is to continue for 1 km along the Goat Creek trail to the Smith Dorrien Road
