Col de Ramaz was on the 2010 Tour de France route.聽 The steepest part is the 2-3km before Sommand.聽 An alternative return is to go over the Col d'Encrenaz - sounds bad, but actually its not much worse than going back down to Pont des Gets and then ascending back to Les Gets again.
