About This Route

Die Tour beginnt im ehemaligen Hafen von Jever und endet in der verkehrberuhigten "Lange Straße" von Hooksiel.

Die Strecke führt entlang von einigen Wurten oder auch genannt Warften. Kleine Bauwerke, Einzelhöfe, einst (erste Wurten schätzt man seit dem 3. Jahrhundert vor Christi) gebaut gegen die Unbilden der Sturmflut.

Auf Straßen und Wegen, abseits vom Verkehr, mitten durch das Wangerland, entlang dem Hookstief, einem alten Schiffverkehrweg von Hooksiel zum alten Hafen in Jever, im Landkreis Friesland. Hier erlebt man die dortige Natur hautnah, die ganze Tierwelt (Vögel, Schwäne, Enten, Goldfasan, Störche, Fuchs, Hasen und natürliche weidende Kühe) und das flache saftige Grün der Wiesen und Weiden mit vielen Pflanzen und Blumen. Besonders im Frühling, mit Beginn der Blüte, sind die zarten Farben von Gänseblumchen, Löwenzahn, Raps zu beobachten.
