Inizio in salita, piuttosto ripida ma beve, poi si costeggia il mare passando a Ovest di Sassari, incontrando dopo 40km di tragitto Alghero. Ci si addentra poi tra le campagne per salire fino alla punrta della penisola di Stintino, dove si trova la famosa spiaggia La Pelosa.
