This ride from Auer (Ora in Italian) to Trento is a mellow journey through the heart of South Tyrol and into Trentino, with around 48 km of mostly flat paths and gentle descents—perfect for a relaxing day in the saddle! Auer is a charming little town known for its vineyards and easygoing atmosphere, sitting just south of the provincial capital Bolzano.

The route sticks almost entirely to paved surfaces, and you’ll spend most of your time (over 75%!) cruising along dedicated cycleways that trace the Adige River. With barely any busy road sections, it’s a stress-free ride with plenty of lovely river and mountain scenery.

Trento, your destination, is nestled at the base of the Dolomites and famous for its Renaissance old town, cozy cafes, and rich history as a meeting point of Italian and German cultures. If you have time, check out the impressive Buonconsiglio Castle or simply enjoy an aperitivo in the lively piazzas.
