About this collection

NTN’s North Trails are Marquette’s classic in-town singletrack—shaded woods, rock slabs, roots, and plenty of flow. The routes roll along the Dead River and bluffs near Lake Superior, with short punchy climbs and quick descents you can link into smooth, rolling miles.

Build your own ride: stack mellow green/blue loops for a chill cruise, or mix in the rougher, techy bits for a workout. Wayfinding is solid and there are several trailheads close to downtown, so it’s easy to sneak an after‑work lap or stretch it into a half‑day.

Surface is mostly packed dirt with rocky sections and a few bridges. Expect two‑way traffic and shared use—be cool to hikers and runners. Trails ride great spring through fall; in winter, many segments get groomed for fat biking.

Quick tips: check the NTN trail conditions/map before you roll, and consider a day pass or donation—these trails don’t maintain themselves. Bring water, bug spray in summer, and a camera if the Lake Superior light is hitting just right.
