Shingle Creek Regional Trail
Shingle Creek Regional Trail
A cycling tour with 2 stages, starting in Kissimmee, Florida, United States.
Overview
About this tour
Easy, mostly flat cruising in Kissimmee along the headwaters of the Everglades. This collection follows the Shingle Creek Regional Trail on a mostly separated, paved path through parks and shady creekside sections, with a few brief on-road connectors where you’ll want to watch traffic.
Expect smooth riding, boardwalk views in park areas, and plenty of wildlife—herons, turtles, and the occasional (distant) gator. It’s great for casual spins, family rides, and steady fitness miles. Start and finish in Kissimmee; go out-and-back as far as you like and link segments for a longer day.
Good stops pop up at Shingle Creek Regional Park (Steffee Landing and Pioneer Village areas) with access to restrooms and water at main park facilities. Crossings are well marked, but take extra care on the short busy-road sections.
Best times are mornings or late afternoon for cooler temps. Bring water, sunscreen, and a bit of bug spray in warm months. Roll easy, enjoy the shade, and soak up that Old Florida creek vibe.
