Lossburg 6: Sun Terraces

A short, sunny spin through the northern Black Forest from Loßburg to Glatten. It’s about 4.1 km with roughly 90 m of climbing—quick, rolling, and great as a warm-up or a link between longer rides.

Expect a mix of quiet roads and farm/forest tracks, with both asphalt and gravel. Hybrid or gravel tires are ideal, but any sturdy city bike will do. The route lives up to its name with open, south-facing slopes and nice views across the foothills.

Start in Loßburg, cruise the quiet lanes, and roll toward Glatten. You can ride it either way, and it pairs nicely with other Loßburg loops if you want to extend your day. Watch for occasional farm traffic and, after rain, a few slick gravel sections.

Simple, scenic, and easy to fit in—perfect for a sunny hour outside.
