F381 Cycle Highway Ypres–Poperinge

A fast, mostly paved link between Ypres (Ieper) and Poperinge across the West Flanders fields. Signposted as F381, it’s an easy, flat ride with barely any climbing.

Expect mainly asphalt and other smooth surfaces, with a short cobbled stretch. The route mixes dedicated cycleway with some roadside sections, so stay alert at crossings and where it runs beside busier roads.

Highlights: WWI heritage around Ypres, open farmland and hop fields, and plenty of cafés and breweries in Poperinge. Great for commuting, training laps, or a relaxed day out.

Wind can pick up in the open, so bring a layer and lights for dull days. Ride it either way—it's a straightforward link between the two town centers.
