A collection of 1 cycling route.
Overview
About this collection
The F209 is a planned fast cycle link between Denderleeuw and Brussels, part of Belgium’s F-route network. It’s designed for smooth city-to-city riding, great for commuters and weekend spins alike.
Right now, it’s a mix: long stretches of dedicated cycleway and quiet streets, with some short busier bits and a few gaps where the route is still being developed. Surfaces are mostly asphalt, so it rolls nicely when you’re on the built sections. Expect mostly gentle terrain with a couple of small rises.
What to know before you go:
- Some segments are missing, so detours are normal. Check your map and follow local F209 signs where they exist.
- Urban sections closer to Brussels get livelier—lights and visibility help.
- Handy connections to public transport make one-way rides easy, especially from the capital.
As it fills in, this will be a handy, direct corridor from the Dender region into the heart of Brussels.
