Redbridge Greenway

A low-traffic cycling network threading through Redbridge. It links local centres and green spaces via quiet streets and dedicated cycleway stretches, with the odd short busy section to bridge gaps. Surfaces are mostly smooth asphalt with some paving stones, so it rides well year-round. The gradients are gentle, making it easy for families, new riders, and everyday trips.

You can jump on anywhere and ride a section or stitch a few together for a longer loop. Expect calm back roads, purpose-built cycle tracks, and a few access roads; take a little extra care at junctions and the brief busier links. Great for errands, school runs, or a relaxed spin.

Best with lights if you’re out early or late, and a bell helps on shared bits. Works fine on road, hybrid, or city bikes.
