Overview

About this collection

A fun mix of forest singletrack, farm tracks, and quiet-road links wraps around Fribourg, Switzerland. This collection is mostly dirt—think ground and unpaved paths with just short stretches of asphalt—so it rides natural and a bit wild. Expect rolling elevation (roughly 460–500 m up/down across the set), enough to warm the legs without going full alpine.

Scenery swings between the Sarine/Saane riverbanks, shady woods, and open fields with Prealps views. Trails can turn slick after rain, so run grippy tires and be ready for roots, ruts, and the odd cattle gate. A hardtail or short-travel trail bike is perfect here.

Start wherever is convenient—Fribourg and nearby villages offer easy access, cafés, and water—and use the quiet connectors to stitch loops to taste. Public transport is excellent, so getting to and from town is simple.

Share the space with hikers and farm traffic, respect signs and closures, and go easier if it’s muddy. On dry days it’s fast and flowy; on wet days it’s a muddy grin session.
