F372 Ypres–Menen Cycle Highway

Fast link between Ypres (Ieper) and Menen, running via Zonnebeke. About 11 km and mostly flat, with a gentle drop toward Menen. Signed as F372.

Expect long stretches of dedicated cycleway (around two-thirds of the route) mixed with some roadside sections near built-up areas. Surfaces are mostly paved and smooth, so regular city/commuter tires are fine.

Great for commuting or a quick spin between WWI landmarks around Ypres/Zonnebeke (think Menin Gate and Passchendaele) and the Leie river at Menen. You’ll find easy links into both town centers and their train stations.

Heads-up: a few busier road sections and junctions pop up—ride alert and use lights if you’re out early or late. Starting in Zonnebeke gives you an easy roll toward Menen; reverse it for a mild workout.
