Lahn-Werra: Lauterbach to Niederaula

A relaxed cross-Hesse spin from Lauterbach to Niederaula, linking the Lahn and Werra river regions. It’s about 31 km with roughly 200 m up and 270 m down, so it rides a touch downhill eastbound. Surfaces are almost all paved, with a couple of short gravel bits and the odd wooden or metal bridge. The route mixes bike paths, farm tracks, and quiet roads, plus a very short busy stretch.

Expect half-timbered charm in Lauterbach, gentle hills, open fields, and small forest patches before rolling into the Fulda valley near the finish. Great for a half-day tour or a steady fitness ride.
