A collection of 1 cycling route.

Overview

About this collection

CS7 is London’s straight-shot bike corridor from Merton (Colliers Wood) to the City, roughly along the A24/A3. Expect a mostly on-road route with clear cycle lanes, some protected stretches, and lots of lights. It’s pretty flat overall, with the usual city buzz. Highlights on the way: Tooting and Balham, Clapham’s cafés, Stockwell and Oval, then Elephant & Castle before rolling over toward Southwark Bridge and the Square Mile. Think fast commutes, quick cross-town hops, and easy access to food stops and river views. The route connects with other London cycleways near the river and Elephant & Castle, so it’s simple to extend your ride. New to city riding? Go off-peak first to get a feel for the junctions. Regulars know it as a direct, reliable line into town. Officially it’s now Cycleway 7 (C7), but you’ll still hear CS7 all the time. Tip: lights, bell, and confident road positioning make this ride smoother.
