A flat, city-friendly ride linking central Paris (1st arrondissement) to the lively northeast (19th). Think protected lanes, short crossings, and plenty of café stops along the way. Starting near the Louvre/Les Halles area, you work your way past bustling squares like République and into the canal zone, finishing around La Villette and the Bassin de la Villette. It’s a solid commuter corridor and a fun, easy route for visitors who want to see a lot without climbing hills.

Highlights: wide bike-first streets in the center, relaxed canal vibes up north, and parks where you can take a break. Surfaces are mostly smooth asphalt with the occasional historic cobbles. Go early on weekends or off-peak on weekdays for the calmest ride.

Good to know: plenty of bike parking, water fountains in parks, and frequent Metro/RER options if you need to cut it short. Watch for pedestrians at crossings and slower traffic near markets. Works well in either direction—bring lights for tunnels and evening spins.
