Lipizzaner Tour – Master Loop

A hilly 80 km road loop from Ligist in Styria, right through the Lipizzaner region. Expect about 1,400 m of climbing, rolling terrain, and plenty of punchy ramps. It’s mostly paved roads with just a tiny unpaved bit, mixing quiet backroads with some busier stretches—lights and a little traffic savvy help. The scenery is classic Western Styria: green hills, vineyards, orchards, and (not far away) the Piber stud farm, home of the famous Lipizzaner horses. Cafés and water are easy to find in the villages along the way. Best for fit riders who enjoy steady climbing and classic tarmac rather than long bike paths. Start and finish in Ligist; ride either direction. Spring through autumn gives the nicest conditions.
