A relaxed riverside ride along the River Dodder on Dublin’s south side. This greenway links parks, bridges, and local neighborhoods, with plenty of places to hop on and off. Expect smooth, paved surfaces and long stretches of dedicated cycleway, with just a few short links on quiet roads. Ideal for family spins, everyday rides, or an easy commute. You’ll have water views most of the way and a decent chance of spotting ducks and herons. Coffee stops and playgrounds aren’t far from the path. Gradients are gentle, so it works well in either direction, and you can connect into other city routes or head toward the coast if you want to go longer. Tip: go early on weekends for a calmer ride. Bring lights for the odd underpass and be mindful on shared sections.
