Bikepacking from Taipei to Fengyuan

Ready for an epic ride from bustling Taipei to laid-back Fengyuan? This 209 km trek takes you from the heart of Taiwan’s vibrant capital down south to a charming district just north of Taichung. Leaving the skyscrapers and night markets behind, you’ll mostly cruise along quiet roads and dedicated cycleways, meaning plenty of peaceful stretches where you can soak in the scenery. Expect a good mix of rolling hills—climbing about 1,577 meters total, with the route peaking at just under 400 meters—enough to get your legs working, but with the reward of some long, exhilarating descents. You'll spot everything from riverside views near Taipei to lush countryside as you pedal south. Most of the surfaces are paved, so your road bike will feel right at home.
