Cycling day trip from Taichung to Puli

Get ready for a beautiful ride from Taichung to Puli! Starting in Taichung, one of Taiwan’s biggest and most vibrant cities—known for its great food and creative art spaces—you’ll make your way into the lush center of the island. The route is about 65 km, and you’ll climb nearly 2,000 meters, so expect a good workout with some rewarding views.

The ride features mostly quiet and access roads, so you’ll have plenty of peaceful stretches away from heavy traffic. You’ll also get a nice cross-section of surfaces, including some sections where the road might get a little rough, so bring a bike that can handle the occasional bump.
