Bikepacking from Kaohsiung City to Chiayi City

If you’re up for an epic day in the saddle, the ride from Kaohsiung City to Chiayi City is a classic southern Taiwan adventure! Starting in the lively port city of Kaohsiung—famous for its vibrant night markets and Love River—you’ll roll north for about 154 km. Most of the way is smooth, sticking to dedicated cycleways and quiet roads, so you can actually enjoy the changing landscapes.

The ride isn’t especially hilly, with less than 600 meters of climbing, making it suitable for experienced leisure riders or anyone looking to push their distance.
