Cycling day trip from Zhubei to Taipei

Get ready for an epic ride from Zhubei all the way up to the vibrant heart of Taipei! Starting out in Zhubei—a young, rapidly growing city in Hsinchu County known for its tech industry and chill riverside parks—you’ll roll northeast for around 107 km. Most of your route sticks to cycleways and quiet roads (a big win for a relaxing journey), with only a small chunk on busy roads.

You’ll get a decent workout, climbing nearly 952 meters with the highest point topping out at 387 meters. The scenery keeps things interesting, shifting from Zhubei’s modern buildings through green stretches and small towns, eventually blending into Taipei’s urban buzz.
