By bicycle from Bucheon-si to Gwangmyeong

This ride takes you from Bucheon-si to Gwangmyeong, a quick 13 km trip through the bustling outskirts of Seoul. Bucheon-si is known for its vibrant arts scene (the annual Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival is a highlight), and you’ll start in its laid-back neighborhoods before gliding onto quiet roads and cycleways—perfect for an easygoing spin.

Most of the route is smooth and peaceful, with plenty of designated bike lanes and minimal traffic, so you can enjoy the ride without too much hustle. There’s a gentle mix of climbs and descents (just around 100 meters up and down), but nothing too strenuous—ideal for a relaxed outing.

As you approach Gwangmyeong, keep an eye out for the famous Gwangmyeong Cave if you want a post-ride adventure. With almost the entire way on paved surfaces, this is a route that’s as friendly for daily commuters as it is for weekend explorers.
